Fall in love with the Roseland Peninsula
Palm Tree House is a spacious, 4 double bedroom home situated around 250 yards from the harbour of St Mawes. Built in 2018 the house has all the amenities you would expect of a modern property, including under floor heating, a well equipped kitchen and bathrooms with luxurious showers. The house is split into 3 floors, with bedrooms to the lower ground and first floor and the open plan living area on the ground floor in between. Comfortably sleeping 10 people, the set up is ideal for multi generational stays or for two families to share the accommodation whilst still enjoying privacy.
On the ground floor is a cloakroom, large sitting-dining room with stunning natural wood floors, 3 sofas, a dining table that seats 12 and a bay window with views towards the harbour. The fitted kitchen is also on this floor with oven, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso machine.
On the first floor is the principal suite with super king 4-poster bed, en-suite bathroom and views of Summers Beach from the stunning bay window. On this floor there is also a 4-bedded dorm style room with en-suite, ideal for younger and older kids, with the option to convert two of the single beds to a super king if so required.
On the lower ground floor is another super king bedroom and a king bedroom, with the option of twin beds in this room if required. The family bathroom with bath and large separate shower is on this floor together with the utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Outside is a beautiful decked area which captures the sunrise and midday sun. This has a large seating/dining area and gas barbecue. A small area of lawn completes the garden. To the front of the property is a parking area for 2 cars.
St Mawes itself is a stunning village on the tip of the Roseland Peninsula, across the estuary from Falmouth. A real hidden gem, it is very popular with those in the know as it is as stunning as many of the more popular Cornish holiday destinations without the crowds. The village is home to a number of hotels, pubs and restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes and is a real 'foodie' destination. Visitors can enjoy everything from fine dining and cocktails at the Hotel Tresanton to take away fish and chips from the Watch House. The village benefits from a number of beaches and safe swimming areas, with further fantastic beaches being only a short drive away, including Porthcurnick Beach with the famous Hidden Hut. There are lots of activities for children and adults alike, including sailing lessons, kayak hire, boat hire, the St Mawes Castle and many beautiful walks.
Please note that the property is accessed by steps to the front and rear. Up to 2 (well behaved!) dogs are welcome.
